Social Practice Things in Europe
In the vein of social practice in the European context, I found initiatives that deal with this theme:
1) Between Bridges Gallery. Berlin, Germany.
http://www.betweenbridges.net/index.php
'Protect the EU' is an interesting project which critically examines EU identity.
2) Van Abbe Museum. Eindhoven, Netherlands.
https://vanabbemuseum.nl/en/about-the-museum/organisation/who-we-are/
Socially committed museum with notable work on decolonization.
3) L'internationale Confederation
http://www.internationaleonline.org/confederation
A collective of important EU museums committed to explore the intersection of art, politics, and institutional practice. Contributing members consist of artists, curators, and professors.
4) WIELS Residencies. Brussels, Belgium.
http://www.wiels.org/en/51/General-information
International laboratory for emerging artists from all over the world.
5) Africalia. Brussels, Belgium.
Cultural organization (I think they do funding? not clear) that supports art as a form of what is understood as 'development'–specifically in the Belgian African diasporic community.
